From The Head of School – May 8, 2024

Flint Hill Community,
As we enter the final weeks of school, I am so grateful for the numerous connections we share to celebrate our students and community. From a rousing Night on the Hill, to Senior Day, Middle School Field Trips, the Visual Arts Show, an incredible Legally Blonde run, current and coming music performances, end-of-year athletics events and more, campus continues to buzz in exciting ways. By the way, you’ll find photos of many of these events on our Flickr page. Thanks to all who come out and evidence the strength of our Flint Hill community.
On Monday afternoon, I stepped into the Lower School faculty lounge to find a host of snacks, drinks, and decorations, thanks to the Flint Hill Parents’ Association in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week. A group of five Division Ambassadors were unloading a massive push cart full of Diet Coke, cookies, and coffee for our amazing teachers, proving the old adage to be true: “The way to someone’s heart is through the stomach.” Our faculty and staff, across all three divisions, are so appreciative of the support and healthy partnership from our Husky families!
On behalf of all Flint Hill faculty and staff, thank you to all Flint Hill families for seeing and appreciating us this week. And, a very special thank you to Scott McCandless, Parents’ Association President, as well as the PA Division Ambassadors who helped organize this week’s recognitions and appreciation. I hope you will join us at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, May 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., on the John M. Thomas Terrace in the Peterson Middle School to celebrate an outstanding year of parent-school partnership within our Flint Hill community.
Go Huskies!
