THERE’S A PLACE FOR YOU AT THE GOLF INVITATIONAL & SKILLS SOCIAL — THURSDAY, MAY 23
Want to meet some current parents? Whether you're a once-a-week or a once-a-year golfer, join the Flint Hill community for a casual golf scramble that brings together our community for a fun day on the links! Although you might not recognize many faces at first, don't be shy. This is a casual way to meet other Huskies. Plus, we’re out there for a worthwhile cause — the Parents’ Association Endowment for Financial Aid in Honor of Sally Hazel.
Head of School Patrick McHonett and his wife Jessica are hosting a Skills Social in the morning. It’s 90 minutes of casual conversation and skills taught by pros and then lunch in the Clubhouse. Plus, rental clubs are provided! Here’s a peek into the fun!
Up for 18 holes? Register as an individual, and we will pair you with fellow Huskies. Or, get a foursome together! All abilities are welcome, so sign up at flinthill.org/golf.
Contact Engagement and Stewardship Director Tiffany Parry with questions.

PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION — YOUR INVITATION TO VOLUNTEER
All Flint Hill parents and guardians are automatically members of the Parents’ Association (PA). There are no dues. The Flint Hill PA exists to foster relationships within the parent community. We have a large group of Divisional Ambassadors who volunteer to help parents meet each other, encourage attendance and participation in school events, and support the School’s mission, vision, and values. Whether you have a few hours once a year or can be on campus every day, there’s a place for everyone.
Learn more about serving as a Divisional Ambassador. New parents are welcome to serve your first year. To sign up, complete this brief form by Monday, May 13. Visit the Philanthropy and Parent Engagement table at New Parent Night to learn more about how to get involved!
INVITATION TO KALEIDOSCOPE BOOK CLUB
As part of our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, we invite all parents, faculty, and staff to participate in our monthly Kaleidoscope Book Club which will take place Monday, May 6, 8:30-9:30 a.m., in the Peterson Middle School. If you haven’t read the book, that’s OK! You can always join just to engage in the discussion that is taking place. We will meet to discuss “The Sun Is Also a Star” by Nicola Yoon. Our book club provides a safe and engaging space for parents to read, discuss, and reflect on thought-provoking narratives that have been deemed too controversial. We've curated a diverse selection of banned books from various genres and eras that have sparked debates and provoked change. RSVP here for the meeting. If you have any questions, please email All-School Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator Miles Henderson.
